Elana Wolff has published six collections of poetry with Guernica Editions, including Swoon, winner of the 2020 Canadian Jewish Literary Award for Poetry. She has also published with Guernica a collection of essays on poems, and an original translation from the Hebrew of the poems of Georg Mordechai Langer—part of a flipside book including a new translation by Thor Polson of two of Franz Kafka’s later works. Elana’s poems and creative nonfiction pieces have been published in Canada and internationally, recently in Arc Poetry Magazine, Best Canadian Poetry 2021, Canadian Literature (forthcoming), The Dalhousie Review, Eclectica, Grain Magazine, GRIFFEL, The New Quarterly, Taddle Creek Magazine, and Vallum. She has taught English for Academic Purposes at York University in Toronto and at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She currently lives and works in Thornhill, Ontario. Her new collection of poems, Shape Taking, was recently released with Ekstasis Editions.
