Annick MacAskill is the author of No Meeting Without Body, Murmurations, and Shadow Blight. Her poems have appeared in journals and anthologies across Canada and abroad and have been translated into French. Winner of the Governor General’s Award, she has also been nominated for the CBC Poetry Prize, the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award, the Pat Lowther Memorial Award, and the J.M. Abraham Award. Born and raised in London, Ontario, MacAskill lives in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia), where she teaches in the Department of Languages and Cultures at Saint Mary’s University. Her fourth poetry collection will be published with Gaspereau Press in 2024.
